Description
I was after a dragonfly in my yard and seen this fellow on a rose.it was not moving so went for the opportunity

Pictured is an assassin bug in the Zelus genus, probably Z. exsanguis or Z. luridus. These assassin bugs are commonly found in trees and shrubs. They are about 3/4" long and have bright green bodies with dark highlights

great capture of this little crawly...man, you must have lots of bugs in your neck of the woods...here in forest hills, ny i haven't even seen one little black ant and there are hardly any flies this season...i don't know what the poor birds are eating around here...kinda scary...so if you feel overwhelmed with buggies in your yard, you can send them in a care package to the poor, undernourished nyc birdies ;)
