Description

This is my first 3d image i created. It took me a while as i was getting used to using the Daz program. I used a background from Artist Tony Hayes. I am new at this but want to get better at it. Any advise would be helpful, Thanks

This is a very pretty first image. That's good. I'm a relative newbie myself, though I did lurk here for about a year before taking the plunge. My pieces of advice: 1.) You can only do what you can do at the moment. Don't be afraid of that. You'll be able to do a lot of other things later as you gain experience and knowledge. 2.) Don't be limited by what others do. Its nice to fit in and do what others are doing, but make sure you bring what's inside out, because that's when the real fun starts. 3.) Enjoy it.

Wonderful first effort! Your background choice was excellent and I really love the placement of the yellow winged fairy. The skin tones on your fairy's look a bit flat.I'm not sure if you have branched out into skin textures on your characters yet..I know the one that comes free with v3 in the starter set is the absolute pits for even nominally close up work (and sadly the low res Vicky is no beauty herself!) You can find some good free skin textures (and other things) for V3 in free stuff here, at 3dCommune and in the free forum at DAZ to start with and then you can hit google if your still driven to find free. You can use very nearly any poser skin texture in DAZ with ease but you may want to do a couple of tiny changes in the surfaces tab (which if you were a poser person would be materials)- first go all the way to the bottom and change the skin areas to skin rather than plastic and be sure that the bump strength is at 100%.

You're off to a great start! I love the colors in this and the overall effect is very magical. There are some details that could be better, but this is a wonderful first render. Browsing through the galleries here will be useful to you, as well as following some tutorials to learn more about the many intricacies of DAZ|Studio :) Welcome to the addiction!!!
