Memories of wet school holidays as a child came back to haunt many a mature adult this summer in the British Isles. This about sums it up.

The sun rays are wonderful! One of my favorite effects in nature. I am quite keen on the foreground as well. I think perhaps the rather bright glare from the sun (guessing here) detracts a bit from the gloomy mood you were going for.
