Ok a little info on this place , which I am assuming most of you know about ,but for those who don't...
Bryce Canyon National Park , national park located in southwestern Utah in the United States. Contained within the park is Bryce Canyon. Despite its name, this is not actually a canyon, but rather a giant natural amphitheater created by erosion along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Bryce is distinctive due to its unique geological structures, called hoodoos, formed from wind, water, and ice erosion of the river and lakebed sedimentary rocks. The red, orange and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views.
Bryce is at a much higher elevation than nearby Zion National Park and the Grand Canyon. The rim at Bryce varies from 8,000 to 9,000 feet (2400 to 2700 m), whereas the south rim of the Grand Canyon sits at 7,000 feet (2100 m) above sea level.
Here is a shot from way off the tourist path through the pines looking on to the ampatheater of Hoodoos mid day.
Hoodoos are tall thin spires of rock that protrude from the bottom of arid basins and badlands. They are composed of soft sedimentary rock, and are topped by a piece of harder, less easily-eroded stone that protects the column from the elements. In common usage, the difference between hoodoos and pinnacles or spires is that hoodoos have a variable thickness often described as having a "totem pole-shaped body." A spire, on the other hand, has a more smooth profile or uniform thickness that tapers from the ground upward.
Hoodoos are most commonly found in the High Plateaus region of the Colorado Plateau and in the Badlands regions of the Northern Great Plains (both in North America).
While hoodoos are scattered throughout these areas, NOwhere in the world are they as abundant as in the northern section of Bryce Canyon National Park ~!
Hoodoos range in size from that of an average human to heights exceeding a 10-story building. Formed in sedimentary rock, hoodoo shapes are affected by the erosional patterns of alternating hard and softer rock layers. Minerals deposited within different rock types cause hoodoos to have different colors throughout their height
. The park covers 56 miles (145 km). The park receives relatively few visitors compared to Zion Canyon and the Grand Canyon, largely due to its remote location. Taken with my pocket cam.

Like habit, Kimarie, you show us the side ' sauvage' nature, and in particular of this place in a masterly way. But the more I look at your époustouflantes photographs, and the more I think that on the spot, much people must reflect and think that the man is not that a ' cirron' wrote Blaise PASCAL. But as I think personally as these sites used by water and Time, are with the image of the human heart! It is often beautiful, but sometimes this beauty hiding place pits of dangers, that the others explore only eyes! With my deep friendship!
