Hello All!!
While visiting in Michagan , Chrissy and I went to an art fair/ exibit in St. Joe, where they had some of the top artists from all over the states exibiting and selling. We met a painter / portrait artist named Robert who had many paintings up and Chrissy wondered if he would draw her . We asked and agreed to do Charcoal of Chrissy . He said he dosn't do many children cause they have a hard time sitting still . I didn't mention to him before hand that Chrissy is a wiggle worm !! Then a small miracle happened!! . She ACTUALLY sat PERFECTLY still for about 45 minutes. He was so impressed with her sitting so still that after he asked if she would pose for his drawing class -as he is a local teacher in the box factory art studio . ( we had to leave back home for southern Ca so that didn' work out . OK, I still am wondering how she sat there without moving it boggles my mind to think about it LOL!!
(btw that drawing on her hand is a henna done by a lady from india that day ... it faded to brown and took a long time before it came off!! )
I told him I would take pics of him drawing her and send it to him so these shots resulted from that...
I was working on them to send him today ( not much postworked here with the pics here really just resized ) - so thought I would throw it up on here to share our little experiance today ...!
Still waiting for my 16 year old comp obsessed Annie's laptop to come in so I can spend more time one here hopefully soon! Then we need to figure out the wireless rounter ( never had a laptop before)...

Oh what a beautiful portait you have dedicated to Chrissy! I'm sure she will love this fabulous created collage! She has got the same wonderful long hair like her mom! What a fabulous posting you have uploaded here!!!

Kimarie, I am astonished enough to see in your photographs, the same love that you carry in Chrissy, as well refleté in his intelligent glance. The spiritual communion, seems to exist on a very high level, would be this only to thank you for your agreement for this splendid drawing. You, like your child, will keep this 45 minutes of exemplary wisdom, it, a marvellous memory by seeing the drawing, you an extraordinary moment in complicity with your child. Oh don't they (children) just love to prove you wrong?? LOL! Yep, the amount of times I've said that my kids won't do this or that and then they just have to go and do it!!! Anyway, she is gorgeous and I can sense the huge amount of love that you have for her in your writings and you have presented that 45 minutes in a beautiful collage - definitely one to be treasured forever! And perhaps with the offer to model for him, this could be a future career for her?? Hugs Chrissy xx

nice collage of a beautiful young lady. it reminds me of same kind of artists spread all around the 'Place du Tertre' near Montmartre in Paris, catching expressions of tourists' face on their drawing paper...

Beautiful collage of a special young lady, both the portrait by the painter and the portrait by the photographer are excellent. I think the artist will very much appreciate the collage you are sending to him. I think you're collage as well as Chrissy's charcoal portrait would look fantastic framed and hung on the wall. Beautiful. Bravo!!!!!
