Description

Dragons typically build their nests in late fall when the air turns a bit chilly. They collect tail scales and toenails that have been shed over the summer months and use them to fashion nesting sites in dried-up river beds. These nests are well camouflaged and can be difficult to spot... except for the tell-tale iridescent bubbles that form on the surface. This occurs because even tiny dragon hatchlings have really hot breath... so when it rises and makes contact with the cooler autumn air, it creates bubbles of condensation. At least that's my theory...and I'm stickin' with it... ;) Created with Ultra Fractal. Thanks ever so much for clicking through... and for the very gracious comments you guys and gals have left under previous uploads. Hugely appreciated! Hugs! Helen :)

Tis that time o' year for Renaissance faires with lots of sword weilding, and the dragons of the world naturally get a bit nervous. The nests also serve as a great place to hide out until the faires are over...FYI ;-) Dragons are also masters at collecting precous stones...that explains the rose-coloured pearls. Looks like a thorny nest indeed, LM. "Tail scales, and toenails"??? :-)

Dragons seem to have come back into our fractal circle and this is fabulous! As you say...great camouflage but what can one do about those young-uns? They do seem to give themselves away no matter how often we sush them...:-)

I'm having a good old chuckle here, bubbling dragon nests, what next. Wonderful imagination and your story actually suits this fractal with all those little bubbles coming to the surface. Excellent work.
