Description
These little birds are so fast and constantly moving, flitting from one spot to another, so it's hard to catch one still for a moment. They have a lovely and varied series of surprising loud songs, considering their tiny size. Taken earlier this summer when he stopped on the porch rail for a moment.

He's the state bird of South Carolina - my home state:) He's a loooongg way from home, and I'm glad you got such a wonderful capture! We have them nesting everywhere when we go back to South Carolina - it's not surprising to open an umbrella left in the garage, or the grill lid, and find a family!

This is a wonderful shot of this wren! They certainly do move quickly, the only time I've caught one very well at all was on the side of a tree and they are so well camoflaged you can hardly see him :(
