Description
Captured 8/18/07 around 7:50 AM, approximately 1.5 miles from my dwelling.
Hmmmm, I wonder if there's supposed to be a comma between the words in the title.
Sorry to tear you away from the roses, but this one was too good to keep under wraps any longer.
It is a chest high capture of a brand new double cab Ford F-350, waiting patiently to get out and feel its oats and spread shock and awe along the streets, highways and byways of the community.
Oh, and good luck climbing aboard.
BTW, after all this time waiting to see the real big guy of the Ford truck series, the F-550, it finally occurred to me that I had actually been seeing them all the time around town, in the guise of AAA tow trucks. I had never noticed the little nameplate on the side before because of all the other distracting stuff on the vehicle.
By its -550 designation, I thought they would be humongous vehicles reaching high up to the sky, but actually they're just wider versions of the F-150 and -250. The difference must be in a more powerful engine and general structure.
Have a fabulous Friday!

I'm more into Chevy's, but still, this is one fab truck. Nice shot ol boy!!!

Well first off, that information on the F-550 is interesting. I feel, though, that perhaps other than engine power and overall structure, perhaps, just maybe... ummmm, and I could be wrong because after all I'm just a girl, but there is a chance another difference could be in the fuel consumption. Now, back to this big dog... That suspension is most impressive! I don't quite get the reason for elevating vehicles so that you are looking eyeball to eyeball with drivers of 18-wheelers, but it sure does convey power, pride and, some say, prolonged exposure to gasoline fumes. You got this from a great pov to bring out the size and height, and the focus gives plenty of detail for discovery. Great shot, Harry!

I always think these things look "messy" like the body doesn't fit the wheels, if you know what I mean LOL! And besides, I'd need a hoist to get me up into one of these beasts, but it is a beast and you've captured it's magnificence beautifully Harry. A great capture. xx

Does this model coming with a hydraulic lowering sysytem? How can you get in this monster truck? Most fascinating shot Harry, excelent angle to show the whole beauty of this car.

yes looks like you could do some serious four wheeling in that !! ( I used to have a boyfriend who had a truck like that haha he gave it more attention than me so i dumped him lol!!! )

Nice work!

Martin has a truck like that. He had to put bars along the sides with an extra step so I could get in the truck. The appeal of such things escapes me, but your photograph is very good! Excellent POV.
Hendesse
Great shot, the POV is excellent!!

Lock and load your Glock with .40 armor piercing when these are around. (Modernize that Colt "Python" .44 adage.) Satan has rejected at least two servants driving this sort of machine. The drivers were astonished. No road kill today!!
Liam.
Great capture. Yeah, climbing up there can't be easy! :-D
elmurray
