Description

Supine: The position of the body when lying on one's back, face up. (As opposed to prone, which is face down.) This is Campanula, commonly known as "Canterbury Bells," or "Bellflower." I discovered them growing in a grassy ditch in my neighborhood. They had fallen over, which makes it look like I've posted the image the wrong way 'round. It really is right-side-up, though. Check out the grass. I didn't even have to sneak into anyone's yard to get this shot!
