Hi all: Just a quick note to let everyone know we got hit by a tornado Friday around 5:30 p.m. Luckily, our home was not damaged but two blocks north of us was damaged heavily. We have no power, and with a lot of Michigan without power (more than one storm hit) it will take awhile to get our power back. We do have a small generator, which powers our refrigerator and a few lights, but not the whole house. I was able to plug my PC into the generator for a little while to get online, but it will be a little bit before I can catch up on all my comments!!!!! We were really surprised by this, as we were told to expect a thunder storm and it had been raining, but nothing special. The town six miles to the west of us got hit the worst, and we lost our brand new Tractor Supply Store that just opened in July (I get my horse stuff there). Lots of people lost their homes. The area where I keep my horse about 25 minutes south of where I live, did not get hit at all, thank God, so the animals are okay. Michigan does not get a lot of tornadoes the way other states do, so we are always surprised by them. I will catch up on comments as soon as I can or when I can get online with the generator. I wondered about you when I was watching the weather updates last night and hoped you were ok. My daughter called to make sure we were ok then I had to call my son in Mt. Clemens to make sure he was ok as they were under a tornado warning for a short time. Thursday night's storm seemed more spectacular with much more lightning than Friday night's. Stay safe sweetie!

I'm glad to hear you and your animals are all O.K., there seems to be a lot of nasty weather all over the planet recently, we just had a week of storm force winds, giant seas and heavy rain...from drought to floods instantly ! I hope you get you power back soon, you just don't realise how much we take it for granted, until it's gone ! LOL & ~Cheers~ :o)
