Hi all: Just a quick note to let everyone know we got hit by a tornado Friday around 5:30 p.m. Luckily, our home was not damaged but two blocks north of us was damaged heavily. We have no power, and with a lot of Michigan without power (more than one storm hit) it will take awhile to get our power back. We do have a small generator, which powers our refrigerator and a few lights, but not the whole house. I was able to plug my PC into the generator for a little while to get online, but it will be a little bit before I can catch up on all my comments!!!!! We were really surprised by this, as we were told to expect a thunder storm and it had been raining, but nothing special. The town six miles to the west of us got hit the worst, and we lost our brand new Tractor Supply Store that just opened in July (I get my horse stuff there). Lots of people lost their homes. The area where I keep my horse about 25 minutes south of where I live, did not get hit at all, thank God, so the animals are okay. Michigan does not get a lot of tornadoes the way other states do, so we are always surprised by them. I will catch up on comments as soon as I can or when I can get online with the generator.
