Description

The road traffic in Shanghai at times can make New York City look like a desert highway. This commuter waterbus (heavily overloaded by western standards) is hours quicker than a vehicle over a few miles. Three families and their 1.4 children eat, sleep and work on board. The fare is inclusive of a bowl of noodle soup and first thing in the mornings, around 6am there are so many people squashed together on all decks that you have to make sure its YOUR bowl of noodle soup you are eating from! Thanks for visiting and your previous comments. My connection lately has been rubbish but hopefully we have sorted out the problem. Dave

Almost the size of Destiny! Lol... Can I pass on the noodle soup please? You know what I'm like where kitchens are concerned! And as always, I love your way with words... NYC = Desert highway... Lol. I'm hoping that you get decent connection as well, fingers crossed, I'll get it also! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... xxXxx

Great shot Dave, love those dragons on the prow, I have got that right haven't I? the pointy bit at the front, or not pointy bit in this case.lol It looks like they have a couple of houses on board as well, it is part of the ship? You have a lot of detail in this as well, lots to look at. The sky isn't much to look at but the colours on that bus make up for that. Bravo!!!!!

Very cool! I like the dragons, too. It's so interesting to see parts of the world I've never been to. I always think where I am is sort of boring, but we get loads and loads of tourists here, so I guess it's all your perspective! (A lot of the tourists come over from Asia!) I bet the people eating noodles on that boat wonder why you would take their picture while they're on their way to work! Thanks for the train of thought! :)
