Description

Though not a photographer I do get a good shot every now and then. I used a digital camera to take this sho. It took several trys since Digitals have a delay, I had to shoot "ahead" of what I wanted and hope my timing was good. I packaged up 25 of my favourite shots from my trip and put them in the free section labeled "25 Maritime Backgrounds" it includeds this shot. All the backgrounds are 1280x960. Larger coppies of these shots are availble if requested. All shots are by me with little or no postwork (I did do some minor colour corrections on a couple of the pictures). Not too shabby shots either considering I am not the photographer of this team :-)

I think it is a fantastic shot! Its so hard to capture the look and feel of water actually moving instead of looking frozen! Excellent!

There is a point at which the foam on moving water is stationary in unstable equilibrium. This seems to have found that point so the blur does not enter.

I think this is great. A few touch ups on the white caps and you have a moving picture. I just can't think of even taking the picture, much less, animating it. lol

Great shot. I'm currently trying to get a handle on waves and such in my 3D work. Images like this are invaluable for study.
