Description
We were driving though the tea plantations in Sri Lanka and came across a tiny little temple in the middle of nowhere and this gentleman was just sitting there. Being me, I told the driver to stop the car, jumped out and asked if he minded me taking his photo. He kindly obliged and even though he was very pleasant, did not feel the need to smile. This came later when I gave him some rupees for his trouble!!
Thank you all so much for your kind comments on my last upload and have a great Wednesday.

Fantastic portrait, great in B&W!

One of the reasons I don't take pictures of people is because if you have to ask if you can then you get that force, fake smile. You've captured a wonderful true moment. Perfect in B&W.

Any of your pics is like when my father was telling me the stories of his travel, so fascinating and full of interesting people.

Another portrait for the ages. Such character! And I really like how the highlights are so hi-key yet lots of contrast is retained.
