Description
Welcome to Planet Turreste. A once thriving planet with sandstone formations carved from rivers & courseways long since gone. Terreste suffers from intense radiation caused by its local star as the planet drifted ever closer & closer until the star burnt itself out, leaving Terreste in a lonely orbit. Terreste's atmosphere still burns hard with radioactive matter & few rarely visit here.

Cool rock formations, neat skywork too!

Great effect on the sky woz, looks fantastic. Terrain mats are very nice too. Is your terrain cutting off at the top ? If thats not the effect you want you can increse the 'higher altitude' of your surfaces in the surface editor . Nice work.

Thx both for the comments. Yes Shaun, the surface is clipped (originally) intentionally as it was a nice flat spot to play with meshes. But they lack the levels of detail that I want to look fitting. Therefore I decided to remove them & just do a straight render. The next shot of this planet has an improved sky which works much better IMHO :) ...more to follow, as there will be a set of images as I develop the planet.

I agree with Shaun ... cool effect on the sky! Nice work Warren! PS: Warren, do you check your Renderosity site mail (displayed in right corner)? :)

Nice canyon shapes...would like to see those without clipping and with some smallscale "weathering" effects.
