Description

Nikon 7900 image. Very early this spring I managed to capture a pair of these Ladybugs mating. The body shape and color were unusual so I was not really sure they were actually Ladybugs at all. I received a comment from a viewer who suggested they may really be some predatory look-alike beetle and that added to my indecision. I later found another one and after a lot of on-line research I confirmed they were in fact Ladybugs. Here are 3 images for you to view. I couldn't decide which to post so I just put em all together into one, lol. Thanks to those who take the time to comment. Lee

I wonder if their markings are unique, like zebra's and giraffes? Weather they are or not, it doesn't alter the fact that these are a trio of fine captures. I think the pink is pretty cool for a bug. Bravo!!!!!

Fabulous macros. I love the pov that allows me a view of the head...so clear! The color is amazing. I have seen orange and I have seen red but this is a new one for me!
