Description

Vue6I, PSP to add in the fog: It took a while to get the speculars dialed in for all the different plant materials to give it that surreal, early morning mist look. The cave and rock formations are a couple of standard terains with a custom procedural material. The swamp trees are from RDNA. The rest of the vegetation are Linda's Lush Plants (grasses, underbrush, etc).

Boy, how I would love to jump in that water and splash around right about now! Fantastic detail in the scene setup and the foliage, the materials lend a nice touch of realism, as well...especially on the rocks. Nice work on the atmosphere, the fog resting on the water is a really nice touch! And I can't believe you and Dave were at SIGGRAPH! I missed both of you there! I wish you mentioned this in the forums so I could be on the lookout for you! Well, there's always next year in LA I suppose. =) Excellent work!

Hey Dave, very nice. I especially like the trees on the left, with the old trunks and vines-- where it looks like there might be some alien creature there or dinosaur or something-- though I'm not crazy about the foreground rock texture.

I think Chipp was right about the foreground rocks. So I revise it and made them less slimy looking.
