Description
Not a cloud in sight and its about high-noon. I thought it would be cooler here in the higher elevation but its not. But hot weather or not, there are people enjoying fishing, swimming and small boating. There are several Ferry Boats for a joy ride. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Very picturesque islands! Kinda scary when you consider they are probably some large chunks that fell back into the crater when the volcano last blew... Or part of a long collapsed dome which is now the lake bed. I'm curious about the quality of the water, was it the same as normal fresh-water lakes?

Deb...The lake water seems transparent, clear and no pollution of any concern. There are several types of fish in this lake including salmon. It does snow a lot in the winter season adding more new water that over flows and rivers down to the Pacific. Not sure how to compare this lake to the normal fresh-water lakes but water quality is said to be OK. Thanks for asking. Aloha
