Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

I am very much taken by this photograph as I see there is a hut and a possible shrine located there. To small for living, though i think it is a perfect palce for a study or just a place to meditate. Haave a great week. Thank you for sharing. egmont

I have no idea, but its such a pretty place.

Nice little island shot. The rope may be for pulling a small boat or raft accross by hand. Not really sure, but some places they do that. We didn't get to go to Japan this year because of complications. But, next year we plan to go all over the place again. Aloha and have a good holiday off.

Great shot! I have no idea what the rope was for... Maybe to block boats from going that way, it looks really shallow there..? Thanks for sharing. :o)
Punaguy
Probably to keep the camera guy from getting too close....lol Maybe a no swimming area? Nice place to take a dip! Aloha~

The two roofs I see peeking out from the trees are what fascinates me, what are they and why are they there, etc. There must be an interesting history to this delightful little spot. Cool shot, Errol!
Debwhosmiles

What a lovely place! I would like to be there, enjoying life.
MrsLubner
I also thought about a guide rope either for pulling a small boat by hand or for people to grab on when crossing on foot. Excellent view and this looks like a great place to hide out.
promiselamb
If the line wasnt there it would look like a YES album cover to me. something Roger Dean would have painted.. and I love his art so you know I love this image :-) Great shot as always!! now when can I come visit??? lol
Cosine
Looks like a lovely peaceful little island, Errol. At first I thought the line might have been to keep powerboats from zooming through the gap, but the water looks too shallow for that...
kimariehere
what a cute little island so tropical ! maybey the line was for someone surveying or measuring ?... great shot!...
goodoleboy
Great shot of the unique island out in the middle of the bay. I don't see how anyone could live or even move around out there with all that thick vegetation.
