I have been photographing women, landscapes, and points of historical interest for the past 30 years. As an all-American guy, my favorite subjects have been all-American girls. The women I have photographed are the proverbial "girl next door." They are brides, moms, co-workers, relatives and friends. Some pictures are old, some are newer, but I hope you enjoy all the pictures of these wonderful ladies. BTW: I'll even throw in a landscape or something historical.

@KatesFriend: Tourists aren't currently alllowed on deck because the museum is preparing to repair it. The interior looks great and is more than worth a look.

Center 5" gun from the batter is missing! PW or they doing odd things to her? Now if this was NOT such a great photo, I'd not have noticed that! ;-)

@weesel: The 5 incher is missing in real lfe. You might notice that the forward 5 inch turrets are different from the afters. I'm not sure which is the original type. I suspect the metal turrets forward. The glass aft is probably a "display" type so you can see into the admiral's cabin.

Thanks for this excellent shot. Can you imagine, this ship did its' thing about 110 years ago. It looks like the folks looking after her have done a good job. Several years ago she was in pretty sad shape. Have a couple of Admiral Dewey pieces of antique memorabilia (water pitchers, plates and postcards). Well done.

Cheers for the link, my friend. A fine and interesting shot of an old ship. Has it been restored now? Rob.
