Description

This is what we encountered as soon as we left the trees. One of the dark areas at the top of this shot is another climber. We spent something like four hours going through this stuff, and it was exhausting. I took only a few more photos between here and the top; it was just too much work to get the camera out, and the view really didn't change much. Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

I know exactly what you mean. After much struggles in my hikes thru the rocky terrain, the body is just trembling to much to a point that you just don't want to bring out the camera. But you gotta do what you gotta do and the camera comes out for at least one shot. This looks like a very dangerous loose rocky terrain. Glad you stopped from going any further. Excellent shot. Aloha

Between here and the top? You mean you climbed it?!? We weren't allowed to when I was there because of all the seismic activity. You were so lucky to be able to do this!! And yes, that does look like pure torture!! But what a feeling it must have been when you got to the top! Thanks for sharing... cool shot, Dennis!

This is a great shot that allows us to see the nasty terrain you had to hike through. I can't imagine hiking for four hours in this stuff though. Thanks for stopping to take at least one picture for us.

I can't begin to imagine what that was like. It looks gruelling! I bet you were ready to hang it up about every 15 minutes. That's some pretty insane terrain!

Oh, wow! I see at least one twisted ankle in this climb for me. You could put splints on my legs before I started this climb and I'd still manage to wrench an ankle before I got half way up! Excellent pov!
