After a lovely afternoon on Whidbey Island a few weeks ago, we came home just as the sun was going down. I took this shot from the car deck of the ferry going to Mukilteo. The ferry you see is going to Clinton. The ferries pass each other in this way every 30 minutes. We were on the Cathlamet. If you want to see a picture of it, click here I was sitting in the car in the trip back, watching the world go by. Everyone else had gone upstairs. All of a sudden the sky started to change and take on these amazing colors. Talk about being in the right place at the right time! By the time everyone got back down to the car, the sun had set and I was back in the car, waiting for them to come down. The three people I was with came rushing back, very excited. "Did you see the sky? Did you take pictures? You took pictures, didn't you? Did you SEE that?" Even in this land of endless beauty, this was an amazing sight. ................
