Hello all!!
Have you ever taken a shot and were completely suprised? because you didn't expect things to happen then it all lines up magically somehow? this was that shot for me.
Went to an art fair this Sat with Georgy on Sat in Laguna beach California. After went to this beach for the first time . We have had an intense heat wave lately and lots of brush fires this week( 104 degrees right now! )
so many people flocked to the beach ..
I find it hard to shoot when at a public place that is very crowded obvioulsly you really cannot control composition with people lol
There was this kinda misty haze that was floating in the air- i pointed my camera at this haze or mist and then most everyone just came into formation and lined up in composition as i shot this
... Even a little boy jumped up in the air at the shorline..
so for me this was a special shot because what are the odds of a large crowd that you have never met or talked to even all
standing spaced just so- or in pairs as to make it half way interesting ? ...this is one that i felt somehow ( ok cant explain it but before it happened i wished for it too lol) i love for that reason and thought i would share it today.
It was an amazing day !!, Georgia treated me to two art shows and paid for everything to thank me for shooting -and postworking around 300 pic from her wedding. We had one of the best tastiest lunches i have ever had ( this amazing chicken curry salad yum!) in this fairy garden with waterfalls and beautiful flowers !!... Thank you Georgia!!

When I lived in Southern CA. one of my very favorite places was Laguna Beach. The people, the artistic feel... it is a magical place. I'm not surprised you got a magical shot in a place like that. And this is a magical shot!

RIchard LOL after two months of vacationing haha -right now I am SO broke haha lol -infact-omg Georgia paid for everything-yeah ( blush) um, i had 75 cents on me that day ...lol flattered you thought of that though...thats what they do for the movies like in the scene with nick cage movie city of angels!!!....you made me laugh now!!

Oh! Kimmers, this is one of those special moments alright. Stunning photograph that really has that feeling of time stopping. You gave me a bonus trip to the past. I use to love Laguna, and the annual Sawdust Festival (the protest festival of artists that didn't make it into the Laguna Arts Festival. I recently saw they have a building now. I wonder if they have sawdust on the floor inside. Then cam e the desert, with your mention of the curried chicken salad. I use to make that and it is indeed special. Thanks for your wonderful photograph, sharing your adventure, and taking me down memory lane. Hugs, Suzanne :D

it do get haze here too when the air is 100 or more. I guess it the water in the air turns to stream!!!! the people do look like they pose for you.and That child jumping is off the hook[some new street words I just learn; means it off the scale for us old folks] lol cool one
