How different you can express something!
real art it would have been without a pinoccio-nose.
It's a challenge,to express a theme like 'lie' or 'liar' .
How would you do that?

Nicely done with humor. You pose an interesting question. I think facial expression, especially eyes are one way, and perhaps the whispering of gossip mongers. Gossip often entails an untruth since it is usually done by people who really don't know the facts, and are titillated by thinking they know more than others do. Gossip is a power trip, and that may be another aspect of lying and communicating that in art. Thanks for the question to get me thinking. Suzanne

This is a wonderful piece! I can see why my photograph brought this to your mind - the pose is identical, isn't it? You can't tell from the photo, since it's b&w, but my friend's coat is even blue. The same picture, but very different! My friend has lived a life of honesty and integrity, but this might be her portrait if she had lived her life with lies and malice. Perhaps her doppleganger, as it were. You have perfectly captured a personality defect with this one bit of symbolism. Excellent work!

@Maikaefer: yeah,the nose should be higher.I did a Gif-Animation,where the nose is moving up. But I cannot post it ,because rero would banne me for ever. g
