I live in a city in the desert, but it takes only minutes to go into a landscape similar to this. I can really appreciate the "unreality" you speak of. Very creative and a nice thought provoking work. The interesting thing is that the barren terrain is precisely the place where one best contemplates the true realities and values of life.

Wonderful image! I love the different levels of "civilization" here. Barren land, bicycle, and a phone that takes phone cards. The man ties it all together, at home with all of them. I saw a man the other day driving an 80 year old car. He was about 50 years old. He was talking on his cell phone. It gave me this same feeling, of transcending time and technology. We truly live in an odd age, my friend!
