Description

Looking back down to our starting point at the car park and Loch Lurgain from near the crest of the Stac Polly ridge. The effects of rain, frost and wind on Torridonian sandstone has carved out these bizarre pinnacles and weird rock shapes that makes for a spectacular and vertigo inducing playground. Thanks for viewing

As I look over the edge I have to wonder if there are many extreme sportsman there. I would think that many of them would try to leap off with a glider parachute or hang glider. Really a sight that makes you feel as if you are watching the beginning of earth.

Jeez...I'm getting a wee bit dizzy just looking at your pic. Awesome sense of perspective and height in this, Anthony. Love the cloud/ shadowplay on the ground, as well. A beauty of a shot, for sure. -M :^)

Absolutely amazing sights. I would have to crawl down backwards if I suddenly found myself up there. What a fantastic day it must have been.

Very impressive shot! Surprised to see that the mountain is so tall, the highway far below gives a great scale and depth to this shot!
