Description

Inverpolly Nature Reserve. Theres a change in the landscape as you head north from Ullapool. Its somehow like heading into a natural Jurassic Park. Its a subtle change thats greeted by an insignificant signpost telling you your entering the area. The mountains seem to have a prehistoric feel, they stand alone, jutting abruptly up out the flat moorland thats dotted with lochs. Theres otters, white tailed sea eagles, wild cats here and lots and lots of eyes out on stalks views. Funnily enough the rock that makes up most of these hills is very very old, claiming to be amongst the oldest on earth. The contrast we had coming here after two horrible long wet days in the blank wilderness of Letterewe was amazing and gave all our spirits a tremendous lift. I need to save up for that house... (I might just be able to afford the barn!) Thanks for viewing

A wonderful pic! I like to sit here in my flat and take a small trip in strange worlds. This is one of them, and a very beautiful. Thanks for sharing it with us. The photo: Good motive, well centered and a high quality, even when zooming in. Great.
