"....ssssssssiiiighed the snake..." lol I've had this one going ever since my fascination with Mihai Cuziac's 3d Spheres ucl a while back and thought I'd show it to y'all. So...maybe it's a magical snake conjured up by Snape to protect this drop of polyjuice potion from Harry Potter, Ron Weasley or some other adventurous wizards that might want to steal it from his apothecary....or something like that(?) :-).
(Actually, I just wanted to try out the Explore function to offset a "point" orbit trap to shade a sphere - MUCH easier than the involved, mega-layer way I'd done it b4 that came along. Ahh, progess! So, I made the story fit the image - lol). The "eyes" are made with Samuel Monnier's "Platonic Solids" in sam.ucl.
Anyhow, how y'all like this one and I appreciate very much everyone's warm reception of my last abstract - thanks!
c-ya!

Whaa..at is this - a nigh twelve weeks abstinence and now you release the beginnings of a torrent! I can only say "More, more, please!" As for the story, you reckon not with the subconscious. Deep down it has control and knows how to manipulate the so called brainy creative aspirations. Right side, left side, of the brain - phooey! There are deeper mysteries lurking. It's like your dark creature in the lower right of the picture, it avoids the limelight but makes a key impression. Nice picture, by the way! It too is full of mystery, quietly, purposefully so.

It's really dark on my monitor (hard to see the sphere), but since I have the advantage of seeing them as they are created, I know this is an awesome composition! :^)
