Description

dUltrafractal 4.03 "...today's fractal is brought to you by the letters, d and, q..." Boy, you know the midlife crisis is getting out of hand when you not only start going to the gym again but you also start having Sesame Street backflashes! LOL Here's yet another IFS Barnsley Jock III/Doodads geofractal abstract. My other idea was to call this "March of the Lemmings" but that would have been all "serious" and not as much fun... :-) You can get a neat sorta embossed look by making masks that are nudged just the slightest bit off from the layer they mask. I've got a batch saved up and will be upping a little more often for a while - look out beloooooooowwww! lol Thanks for the nice comments and faves on my previous one and as ever - thanks for stopping by! Rick ***(Fine art giclee' prints of most of my work are available in limited edition on archival paper or canvas - e-mail: drahcir3@hotmail.com and get busy filling that empty spot on the wall! Unique, "one-of-a-kind" (edition size = 1) prints are also available*** :-)

One of the best pieces of fractal/abstract art I've seen to date. I'm trying to stay cool, Rick, but I'm real excited about this one. I love the perspective, sense of motion, colors and texture. Looks like a 2D at first glance, then turns 3D with an awesome illusin of depth. Outstanding!

This looks like a wall-sized fresco! Great depth (that's a fun technique to use!) and the colors rock!

Nice! I like this embossed effect, I've had it happen serendipitously when using masks when I haven't made a new location change to them. Strange sentence but I bet you understand :-)

"March of the Lemmings" I would have understood... Beautifully composed and coloured abstract. The texture does give it the look of a fresco. And that bit of embossed effect sure adds interest to the whole piece. Wonderful work, Rick (but seriously: we don't expect anything else from you ^_~)

After all comments I read here above, I'm not able to add some new thought. Fractalinda's and Mountmous' comments both represent my own opininon. Maybe somewhat outworn but I only can say it's excellent in the real sence of the word. f
