To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.
Brightest Blessings to you all!
Heather
 Mina's daughter
Thanks to all for stopping by and hope you enjoy your visit.

Well obviously this is your computer speaking out, it must be very traumatic for it as well to be so ill, and oh my, to be separated from you and have to go to the doctors! So perhaps the two of you will need a little therapy .. and maybe glass of something lovely for you to relax your poor nerves. Very traumatic for the both of you. I recommend a lovely glass of soemthing strong for you, and perhaps a tidbit of ram for your computer?

Kinda dark and moody...I like it! Sorry 'bout your comp problems, Mina. We have all become so dependent on these shiny metal boxes.

Well done Mina! People think computers have no character. I have two. Dinger and Hewlett. Both have temperaments different to one another. My commiserations on your computers illness and hope it gets well soon.

Appropriate mood and emotions, very well crafted artwork !!

I had to look this one up ... seems the title originally was derived from Homer's Odyssey: "As I lay dying, the woman with the dog's eyes would not close my eyes as I descended into Hades." Howzabout that for imagery? Anyway dearest Mina, you've depicted a wonderful and imaginative interpretation. Well done!!! HUGS As an aside, I've had the occasion to travel the back roads of MS and, for the life of me, could never understand how such a kudzu 'n snake infested land ever produced a shining light in August like William Faulkner. *****

Seems when our computer is sick, we feel a little ill ourselves. Ever notice that? Like a part of you is missing. Sigh... This is an excellent piece. A sad, poignant piece. Excellent work. Bunny

I love your presentation of this one with its slightly tilted angle and its lovely colouring. Great angle for the model too. Excellent work. I do hope it doesn't take long for your computer to be fixed or your withdrawel symtoms will kick in and believe me you don't want them. I nearly tore my hair out when mine was away for a month.

Is this in tribute to the dying computer Mina? I do hope it gets plugged in, tuned up and comes back in tip top shape, and this lovely can rise and walk the forests! Hugs :)

The title led my thoughts immediately to Marilyn Monroe. The aged appearance and pose took me back in time. It seemed to me the "stream of consciousness" of someone whose death was unintentional, but resulted from many mortally wounding experiences in life, combined with drugs to escape the memories. An explanation of events hovering overhead, like an OBE post mortem. Wonderfully thought provoking image, Mina. Hugs, Suzanne
