To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

WHAT an extraordinarily compelling image, mi hermana, even by your own exceptional standards. I swear, Mina, if I could just consume your images..I know they would be all the sustenance one could ever need! A compelling, introspective image, to say the very least. Can't say I care for the title; to serious for me.... I do, however, like the way you put this piece together, the tan/rusty tones, multiple offset pieces, and the head down orientation of the figure. Each element seems intuitively well placed to me.

I like the contrast of the textures and the imagery, as opposed to the warm tones. I guess she's dying from the heat, too... Sorry. I'm punchy. I think think this one rocks a lot, Mina. You captured the mood from the source of inspiration quite well. Violence and drama in the graphics..Extremely cool. The colouring fit perfect for the atmosphere. And the title suits the picture. Those crackles makes it look like an old photo. This is truely a Masterpiece.. even if it never hit the charts.+5
