Dann-O
Cool long plane.

I remember owning a Dinky toy of this back in the WW2 years. in reality the plane had a dire time when deployed to counter the German blitzkrieg in France and the lowlands. It would be kindly to say the squadrons were decimated (a loss of 1 in 10 doesn't even begin to state the truth). A part of the problem could have been the lack of fighter protection when they were sent on missions. Nice representation Geoff, as always.

nice work! looking at this i see that Dann-O is right, it is really not a bad-looking plane, but it is hard not to see it as a symbol of britain's lack of preparedness in 1939/40. it went on to have a respectable career as a trainer and target tug, for which there were some very bright colour-schemes....

Oooo the poor Battle... you won't find any vet that will say anything nice about it... Still, another very good drawing. Congrats :)

I admire your plans and drawings very much. In fact, I look forward always towards the next one. But how on earth can you make them so perfect???

Cliff, wingnut and jlvfr are right on the mark. The "Battle" was one of those 1930s designs that was underpowered and underarmed for a 1940s war. It's design did lay the groundwork for the more respectable "Fulmar" and even better "Firefly." Another great warbird render, Geoff!
