Description

This is Travis Mill Lock. Number 28, along The Rochdale Canal. Just inside West Yorkshire at a little town called Walsden, not too far from Todmorden. During our walk down the Canal towpath we stopped for liquid refreshments at a Public House called The Cross Keys. A nice relaxing view from here at the rear of the Pub.

The vibrant red of the barge really stands out against the greenery, the backgound has a beauty all of its own. Love the churches tall spire, reaching up into the blue of the sky. Excellent capture!!!!!

Fine shot!!!! Brings back many old memories of cycling in the area and of times cruising on my Fathers narrowboat which used to be based at Battye Ford near Mirfield.

Wonderful shot! The steeple sets the image perfectly! Actually, the steeple is really what caught my eye -- wonderful architecture! There may be some old places like that her in the US, but they sure aren't anywhere I've been! Colors are great -- especially with the bright red of the boat! Fantastic scene! :^)
