Description

Exultation is the Going by Emily Dickinson. Exultation is the going Of an inland soul to sea Past the houses - past the headlands - Into deep Eternity Bred as we, among the mountains, Can the sailor understand The divine intoxication Of the first league out from land? I know that I know this feeling :-) I know PJ does too, how about you? Happy night and hugs. Diane.

I grew up on the beach. On really high tides, our basement flooded with seawater. No other place feels so "right." On the shore, on the docks, heading out . . . everything in me just relaxes. Thank you for sharing this wonderful image!

A beautiful shot with superb reflections. Nice little poem too but I'm afraid I don't like leaving the harbour these days as I get so seasick.

I will admit that I don't know that feeling. I admire and respect the sea and rejoice for those who love it so (like you). But I'm a mountain boy at heart and am supremely content to enjoy the visions of the sea that you share and you do it so well. :-)

Wow, this is a beautiful photo! I love the colors and feel of this scene... in fact I can almost hear the sounds of gulls and the water lapping at the sides of the boats!!

Beautifully done, Di. Clarity and color are amazing. I think only those who live near the sea can understand this feeling...lovely quote.

A great shot here. Two brothers ( or sisters , as boats are of the feminine gender in English, unless MPs decided otherwise!!) in arms bracing themselves to face the ocean...You are lucky to live by the sea,Diane ! Bonne soirée!
