Looking at these tractor trailers one can see how an old man slips into obscurity. I made a model of a early 50's diesel cabover tractor with aluminum cab and tandem rear axles just to show young folks how to spot a trend. By the time I was able to show it there were no more. These streamlined conventionals some with shorthorn cabs had all replaced the sleeper cabovers. No 20 inch wheels either and the 23.5's that were coming are now all 22.5s on 53 foot trailers.
