Its a great photo Mick with rich tones of the stone work in contrast with the blue sky. A good angle which leads your eye through the central Arch window into a maze of arches and masonry. Nice one.

Again I feel excited but sad, excited about the wonderful architecture but sad about the loss of what must have been a fantastic East window. Brilliant photography Mick, very thought provoking! It makes me think! It must have been a pretty recent fire, by that I mean this or last century and it sort of confirms to me, what I have been thinking for quite some time, that 'church going' is on a downward spiral. I have heard about a few churches closing because of a lack of parishioners attending services, a shame really. Rant over. I like your pov here and agree with artaddict2. I know its been on fire and no pun intended when I say the inside colour has a quality of warmth. Excellent subject and a great portrayal of it. Bravo!!!!!

Wonderful capture, so much detail in the brock work, really beautiful! A adore this old architecture, and so many times try to imagine what it must have looked like... A shame all these buildings have to "die". Thanks so much for sharing.
