Description

this minesweeper ended up a permanent fixture by accident .it was brought up the tees for a visit before being scrapped but nobody thought that when the princess diana bridge was built ,which is a little further on behind it ,that it would`nt be able to get under it so it was given to the sea cadets .now 13 years or so on it is just left there rusting away as nobody wants it anymore have a good day mick thank you so much for your comments i made 21 yesterday for the first time and it really made my day :o)

Its a grand shot, Mick. So much to see. Unreal that not a single person realised she would be trapped in dock!!! So sad to see she is rusting away :-( Have a great day, my friend. Hugs. Di.

Whats up with the sea cadets now Mick? Don't they use it any more? As for the bridge thats planning for you. Why don't the council make it an atraction? A floating museum, doesn't have to be all naval. I suppose at the end of the day it's down to money. Making it safe(health & safety) that sort of thing. As Diane says its sad and a shame that this happened. Have you got a shot of the bridge as well? I take it, it is not the one here. The shot itself is great, and the information does add to the scene. Now we know why, it's there. Congrats on you're 21st so to say. Bravo!!!!! Keep them coming, with commentary.

I can see the dilemma looks like nobody wants to take responsibility for the boat. Lets hope somebody saves it before its too late and ends up in the scrapyard. Great shot by the way!

Superb photo of this fine old ship and the modern town that is it's final home port. I'm with JeffB7GRJ about preservation.
