Description

The two sides marched toward each other banging thier shields and roaring abuse. When they met in the middle of the field I was surprised at the ferocity of their attacks, these guys (and girls) really get into it, their blows full blooded and vicious...nutters if you ask me but great fun to watch!

WOW...fantastic capture. I envy you that you got to see such a re-enactment. I would love to see one of these.

Ca ne sert à rien de taper sur la tête : chez les militaires ce n'est pas là que sont situés les organes vitaux...

It takes a village to raise a child, but a viking to raze a village, lol. Great Scot! This is a great shot. Love all the fabulous detail you captured here, Anthony. Really superb!

It's wonderful. Straight out of a Monty Python sketch or is it like Roston Vasey and none of them ever get to leave? Great shot.

Great shot again, Anthony. I know a great red-bearded giant of a man, normally seen wearing high visibilty gear up on lighting platforms, who spends his summer weekends in medieval re-enactment groups. He takes the historical details very seriously. I would have hated to have encountered him in an 'angry man containment' practical public order scenario, when I was in police uniform.... Attempting to disarm him would have been a definite challenge. Regards, John.

Great capture! They are indeed nutters. A good friend of mine is part of a Viking group who use the two handed Dane-axe, just for good measure! Particularly like the axe to the head!
