Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

Oh man...fabulous shot Errol. Seems somewhat amazing that with so many people in such a small country there's all this unspoiled area still.

A first glance, it appears to be a mere hill ..but going back to your ski lift shot and then noticing the weeeeeeeeee people on the path in the background ... egads ...how high is this again? It's either a very stable path or these people are unbelievably skilled in balance and stamina. Wonderful capture sharky ... am loving these journeys of yours!

Great shot, Errol!

Good POV and DOF in this shot of the people all set to clamber up Mt Iwaki, which kind of looks like a dormant volcano. Sayonara!

Great shot once again. I want to see the top on this hill. Hike on:)
nongo
Must have been a great viewpoint!!!!!! can you read the signs?????
sharky_
With the wear and tear of the writing on the right sign... The best I can come up with is: Mount Iwaki (something?) volcanic crater (unclear writing) Mt Iwaki elevation is 1470 meters high Iwaki skyline The sign on the left tells you to keep right going up Keep right coming down. If someone else can interpret the writings, please do. Aloha
kenmo
Impressive.....

Looks like an ankle breaker, but worth the risk. I'll bet the view from the top was spectacular.
