Description

This is for Tracey (Tr4cey) my wife, lover, and best friend because today will be her 100th upload and the picture reflects her love of all children, she even teaches hens how to be broody but I wont go into that here lol Photo taken not far from where we are now on a previous visit. Two little girls, sisters I think, both parents died from AIDS , we could see them every morning going for water for themselves and their siblings. Here they are outside the school, built for them partly by a constant stream of merchant seamen using unwanted ships supplies and a mixture of charities, . Boys seem to have it made in Africa, they get to play whilst females do all the work, but even so when its time for school they turn up spotless, ok not the most modern of dress and sometimes they hardly fit at all, but, totally umarked, amazing when you consider the conditions they live in. Its not very nice when you see them struggle with cans and polythene bottles but my crew were under instructions not to help. I think the western world has a lot to answer for, the way we try and speed up their evolution or use them as a source of making money, The Inca’s for example or the Aborigines many of who are into drugs and booze .or the insatiable requirements of the west for hardwoods and soya and the destruction of rain forests. Don’t give them fish to eat, help them with the means to catch it. I’m not one of those people who think they can change the world, I’ve seen most of it and that’s not possible so I’ll stick to my socks! These two little girls they didn’t beg in spite of what they haven’t got, all they wanted from you was a smile and to take their picture so that they could see it on the LCD screen on the camera. We left them about 3,000 metres of hydraulic piping and a few connectors (Thanks to Exxon, who I might tell one day lol) more than enough to get water to their small group of huts, maybe one day I’ll go back and see if they used it. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by. Dave

I love you! You got the timing right as well. Good job I had to pick up Madison! Thank you so much Dave, you know I love this shot, and admire the courage of millions of children the world over. Hmmm, maybe I can promote Matthews work here... He he he, I'll find a way! As for making Hen's broody... Ten is it? And yes, when I can decide what to post, today will be my 100th. To be honest though, I couldn't have done it without your encouragement and you sifting through literally thousands of pictures with me. Together with the encouragement of fellow RR users! xxXxx
