Title: Here is smiling at you!
Series: Berkeley Telephone Poles
Location: Berkeley, California
Date: June 7, 2007
Image: N05047M1c
Camera: Nikon D70, Full Frame
Commentary: This continuing series of the Berkeley telephone poles I have been
photographing for more than two years now is coming to a close with these three
photographs. These images begin to focus in closely on the elements in an area no larger
than two small postage stamps, presents us with a close-up view of a world within a
universe onto itself of metal and tattered pieces of paper. It takes a couple of moments to
adjust ones thoughts before realizing that these pieces of metal are everyday staples.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my work and commenting.

Ahhhh, now I see the smile. A real treasure this is. I never notice telephone poles. Maybe I should, but I suspect that I don't have "the eye" you have, to find the treasures.

Great find and original idea... I like the "triotone" B&W + roost ! of this image ! A highly artistic series, Egmont !

Much imagination going thru my mind trying to solve this poster picture. With the rusted staplers, I'm sure it was an oldie. Interesting.. Aloha

'La rouille aurait un charme fou si elle ne s'attaquait qu'aux grilles'. L'idée est ici excellente ce gros plan sur cet objet familier. Bravo Egmont.

The "staples" of life. The aging and new together, with the monochrome torn paper and words interlaced. Culture and symbolism in one. Great work Egmont!
