I'm a software engineer by day. I spend my time pushing ones and zeros around, which is not as easy as it sounds. They're slippery little devils.BIOI discovered fractals in the mid 80's with Fractint on what must have been a 25 MHz processor. Around 2001 I upgraded all the way from 400 MHz to 1.8 GHz, and thought about making fractals again. I discovered Fractal Explorer, and later XenoDream. These days I use mostly XD and MBF, with an occasional image from ChaosPro and Quasz, since I've always loved quaternions.
For my photography I use a Canon 30D. My primary lenses are a Canon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 EF DO IS USM and a Canon 24-105 f/4 L IS USM.

An awesome vista! The spots of sun on the mountain are super and the river meandering through is a path for the eyes. Great shot.

These are beautiful mountains and the hotel really gives some perspective as to their size. Wow! You made me laugh that you have the computer set up, even if the boxes are still waiting to be unpacked. I'm glad you have your priorities straight.

Tremendously beautiful view! I saw the watertank, and I'm glad you stated what the building was. They seem so tiny among those HUGE mountains! So pretty! So natural .... I wanna be there L ......Congratulations on your new home -- glad to see your priorities are equal to mine L

A GRAND mountain scene! Have fun trying to find everything in your boxes!!! Always a headache to move. Glad you are online anyway.

Gorgeous scenery! I saw a series on PBS about these remote luxury hotels. If I'm not mistaken, this one sits in what is basically a wind tunnel. The people who put it up hadn't counted on the fierce winds that whip through there, and they had to do several redesigns during construction to make sure the building didn't collapse! I guess it's like being in a small earthquake when you're in that hotel and the wind is blowing. Only four days? It seems like longer. Nice to have you back! :)

Great Shot . Thanks for sharing .

Amazing view! An interesting sky with light enough to make the mountains pop, dapples of bright sunlight on the green, a marvelous stream and just enough sign of human habitation. Lovely! How you managed this trip and then almost immediately a move is beyond me. I hope you are settling in well :)
