Thank you for stopping by and for viewing my work. I am a mother of three wonderful stepchildren, a wife to a loving and supportive husband, and I also work full time. I have no formal training in art, but from a young age wanted to be an artist. The problem was I wasn't any good at drawing or painting. I couldn’t translate from my brain to the paper/canvas what I saw.  I did have other talents, singing is a passion of mine, I sing in the shower and car every day. (grins) I also dabble with stain glasswork, scrapbook, stamping, embroidery, needlepoint and the list goes on.
December 2006 I found Daz Studios and for the first time was able to at least get some of the images I saw in my head out. But it wasn't as easy as it seemed. Nothing good ever is. I started posting images on Renderosity and met some wonderful people who invited me to join a group of people who all used Daz Studios and so my learning increased. We now have a wonderful forum called Daz Artist Guild dedicated to helping people who want to improve their skills using Daz Studios.Â

I love this picture. I loved the original version too, but I think the postwork adds a lot to the feel of it. 5++

I'm not sure which I like better, the original or this one, both are excellently done.

DLG~ excellent post work, but (ducking) I think I like the first one better, lol. both of them are great images, I just like the more subtle lighting.

Beautiful!!

The effect is stunning! But must agree with Cimaira (ducking with her:) I opened up both images to see if by viewing both of them my first impression was wrong.. It was not. The original image has also a ligting effect (lens flare) but this one is not dominating the whole image! The effect in the second image takes your attention away from the fabulous scene/bg which is so well balanced in the first one.. The effect IS stunning, that much is true. Like to see it used in a different setting :)

DLG- - -> Decided to put some time and thought into this one before commenting only to come back and see that Charley and Cim-Kim has already said it all. This one is good but not as good as the original. It's hard to improve on greatness! ;)

I like both versions. Amazine how the change in glows changes the scenario. The original with its subtle glow suggests an enduring memorial, the light a reminder that the departed spirit will live on. The woman is remembering her lover. With this one's more robust glow, the scene is more dramatic, suggesting the departed might not be departed for long. The woman is up to something to bring this return about.
