"Life Is A Mystery To Be Lived, Not A Problem To Be Solved" ~ Proverb (thanks Ionel)
Here is a triptych of photographs I took of Chihuly {---link glass art during the latest exhibition at the Fairchild Botanical Garden in Coral Gables. You really do have to view this one FULL SIZE to get all the details. The "Coral Gables" location in my comments yesterday was the hint for those of you who are familiar with my past Chihuly photos. I was pleasantly surprised that none of you were able to guess exactly what yesterday's image was, though a few came close. It was in fact 2 smaller decorative glass bowls inside a much larger one -- no manipulative postwork was done to created that foggy effect. I enjoyed reading all of your guesses and interpretations of what you saw, I hope my offering today is abstract enough for you to enjoy it in a similar manner -- even know what you are looking at now. -----

If he creates these masterpieces in public demonstrations at times, it must be fascinating to watch. I can guess at how he creates some of the things but I would love to see him in action, Kort. Wonderful triptych that wets my appetite for more. Hugs, Suzanne

Isn't it great what you can see through the lens of camera! Everyday I am amazed by what comes out of a camera and the way people look at things differently. Great abstracts here, I love the colors. Great detail too!

Now this is definitely candy for the eye! Beautiful textures, amazing detail and an absolutely awesome mosaic of colours! I think what you did in your previous piece was clever... sometimes having your audience not knowing what they're looking at allows them to view it more objectively, and creates the opportunity to admire it just through using the senses. I love the aqua-like, baby blue in this photograph, and the pink and blue background of what seems to be (uh oh) a porcelain piece(?) is really visually beautiful! Wonderful reflection and lighting used in all three, especially the last one on the far right! Superb work!

Shux! I remember your brilliant garden poses of the Chihuly pieces. I thought it was superb the way you got yer lenses right up close & personal! Those arrangements probably wouldn't have worked any where else but FLA. I know Seattle couldn't effect those brilliant chromas w/ it's evercloudy skies. Further South where I'm is, just couldn't quite hack it either. Now maybe the Islands of Aloha ...Great work as I've come to expect from your dillegent crew[How else could one guy post such an overflowing oeuvre?].Dig you the most, Noel Grassy.
