La nuit tombait , je traînais encore dans les petites rue du Bakhor, le vieux quartier de Lhassa, quand j´ai vu ce temple. Il était petit, mais il y avait une grande ferveur autour. Au centre, un gigantesque Moulin à Priéres, apparement trés ancien. Les gens font tourner le moulin en entonnant des mantras, c´est une façon trés tibétaine de prier.
L´athmosphère était trés émouvante dans ce petit temple, mais il n´y avait presque plus de lumière. J´ai essayé de tenir fermement l´appareil, sans respirer, mais je n´arrive jamais à faire une photo valable à moins de 1/60 seg. J´ai prise une seule photo, sans aucun espoir.
Au devélopment, la surprise : cette photo là, incroyable ! J´ai reçu beaucoup de compliments pour l´effet génial que j´avais obtenu et la photo a été publiée pleine page.
C´était tellement surprenant et magique, personne n´allait croire que je n´ai pas fait express.
Coincidence ? Cela n´existe pas en Asie. Mon bon karma ? J´espère... La magie du lieu ? Certainement...
The night fell, I still walk in the small streets of Bakhor, the old quarter of Lhassa, when I see this temple. It was small, one but there was a great mood of faith around. In the middle, a giant Prayer Wheel, looks like very old and holy. People make the turn prayng mantras. It´s the Tibetan way to pray. .
The mood was very emotive in this small temple, but the light is almost over. I tried to hold my camera strongly, without breathing, but I never arrived to make a valid photo less than 1/60 seg. I tak only one photo, without any hope.
After developing, the surprise: this photo, incredible! I received many compliments for the brilliant effect I was obtained and the phot was published full page.
It´s so surprisiling and magic, nobody believe I don’t make this express. .
Coincidence? That not exist in Asia. My good karma? I hope.... The magic of the place? Certainly…

Yes indeed this is a wonderful photo. There is only blurring where people are moving but that actually better accentuated the scene. This prayer wheel looks fantastic. Your photography really does capture the atmosphere of Tibet and the deeply held but remarkably pragmatic and patient beliefs of its people.

Cette photo et ton propos est une synchronicité... J'ai entamé voici 6 mois un long travail de "rachat" (le mot n'est pas juste mais je crois que tu comprendra le sens) de mon Karma. Chaque génération à la possibilité de racheter le karma famillial, mais au pris d'un énorme labeur spirituel et psychologique (C'est la Dhalai Lama qui m'a dit cela lors de sa dernière visite au centre Thibétain de Huy (Belgique) J'ai eu la chance de faire une série de photo pour un périodique local, et de parler avec lui.
Coincidences?
Carl Gustav Jung parle de coincidence signifiantes.
Chose étonnante, lorsqu'on regarde dans un dictionnaire français-chinois à la rubrique "hazard", on trouve PENG dont la signification est... "Parité", "mettre ensemble". Cela rappelle un phrase d'Albert le Grand qui était le précepteur de St François d'Acquin qui dit "Le hazard aime à mettre les choses ensemble.
Il n'y pas pas de hazard, que des coincidences signifiantes pour celui qui les vit.
