Architect_Samer, Any life worth a damn, gets touched by loss or death -- for it not to touch us is to be numb to all that life offers, both good and bad. And anyone who knows cats knows what a comfort their mere presence can bring in these times of sorrow. So, though this is not inspired by any particular scene I may have past, my life has past me through many deaths and losses in 44 years -- some close, some merely acquaintances -- some real, some metaphoric but just as painful -- and it is from this wellspring of feeling that this image was drawn.
