Description
Energy and light. Light and energy. These things have fascinated beings throughout their evolution. Where does this fascination come from? We are not really sure. We seem to have a fascination with light and energy as well as with things that are bright and shiny. In the past, we called it glitter and today we call it Bling. Whatever we call it, we can know one thing for sure. We are attracted to things that emit light and reflect light. It can almost be intoxication at times when we see something that is so stunning and so luminescent. So what is that draws us to the Glittering Alurien Butterfly? If there were a contest among the space creatures for who had the most Bling, the Glittering Alurien Butterfly would come in as number two. This majestic and graceful creature boasts of soft luminescent colors with an array of bright shiny baubles that glow mystically in the dark. It has long been thought that these beautiful and majestic creatures spend a large portion of their time swimming in space that is heavily clustered with stars. Their wings act like solar panels soaking up energy and light. As these creatures travel between solar systems, they use their stored energy to light the way to their next feeding ground. Interestingly enough it, does not take very much solar energy to fill these creatures. So there is never a danger of their consuming too much energy. In its resting state, the Alurien Butterfly looks much like a small solar system. Its wings are spread out in a circular fashion and its shiny orbs twinkle and glitter. When they take flight, their wings change and the once spread out webbing now becomes two majestic wings. These creatures consume very little solar energy but they also expend very little solar energy. They can travel great distances in a day. How they travel is still unknown. Perhaps these creatures are light creatures. Perhaps they can travel at the speed of light because they become light. Or maybe, just maybe, they can create a slipstream and travel from one solar system to another through these passages. Of course, these are just guesses. But they may be a very good guesses. Perhaps one day we will find out which guess is the right one. Created in Apophysis. Thank you for stopping by to look at my art. Thank you for your comments on this image and my previous images.
