Early Morning view of Mt. Le Conte, located in the Smoky Mountains National Park. This was the view we awoke to each morning from the cabin deck where we stayed while visiting there last April. On this particular morning, the early morning clouds and fog obscured the top of the mountain, not an uncommon occurrence in the Smoky Mountains. Imagine wooden rocking chairs on a wooden porch, sipping a hot cup of coffee with the scent of fresh morning mountain air, all combined with this spectacular view! Even though we always had our day's activities planned ahead, often the most difficult thing to do was just leaving the cabin each morning! Such are the moments that make life worth living!
