but nothing common about their beauty.they are very hard to approach and this is the closest I have got to one.I had to approach ever so slow, as it had already flew once

Wonderful snapshot! I love dragonflies and sometimes there are hundreds on the road in September when we go there to fish. They like the warmth of the road and it is their undoing when cars go by. Ours are brown and blue though. Have only seen a white tail like this once.
