Description

It was not that the mask really concealed who she was; this wasn't some anonymous sex-chat peccadillo. The Earl of New Dunnich -- as an old hand at political intrigue, conspiracy and assassination -- would have long since determined her identity. When you got down to it, the mask was for Katerina; a mnemonic prop to bind her to a persona suitably distanced from her self. She let her facial muscles ripple through a standard set of Method expressions, then she focused down to make the vidphone call. (Part of a cyberpunk story and image series.) Credits Masks by Syrian. The face texture is a hybrid I fashioned using Quim Abella's Perlova (thanx) and the Rebecca Rose map by Neftis (always a pleasure); instead of spending time on post-work most of attention was in mods to the texture and bump maps prior to rendering. Rendered in Poser; minor compositing.
